“Let no one be found among you… who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord.” – Deuteronomy 18:10-12b
According to CBN News, a group of witches numbering in the “thousands” will gather together tomorrow evening to cast a “binding spell” on President Donald Trump. The spell will take place promptly at 11:59 pm EST.
According to spokespersons from the group, they have no intention of harming the United States’ leader.
This isn’t the first time Wiccans have joined forces by using witchcraft as a means to thwart the President’s agenda. They have been casting spells against Trump since he was inaugurated at the beginning of 2017.
In fact, the official Bind Trump Facebook group has been casting spells on him on a regular basis. Additionally, around one year ago in New York, self-proclaimed witches performed rituals against the recently appointed Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
Since Democrats have aggressively attempted to impeach President Trump, the Wiccans feel their rituals and casting events are having an impact. It’s given them a sense of empowerment that they can actually influence those in the White House.
The Bible outright forbids the consultation of sorcerers and mediums. Anyone who “engages in witchcraft or casts spells” is “detestable to the Lord.” Throughout the Old Testament, God speaks against inquiring the dead for wisdom and guidance.
In the book of Acts—as well as the Gospels—Jesus and his disciples can be seen casting out demons and confronting those who interact with evil spirits.
In Isaiah 8:19, the prophet asks two rhetorical questions about consulting mediums instead of waiting for the direction of the Lord: “…Should not a people inquire of their God? Should they inquire of the dead on behalf of the living?” The dead have no influence over the affairs of the living. Why should they? They’re dead.
God is the only one that exists that has control and power over both the living and the dead. He raised His son, Jesus, from the grave to demonstrate that death and Hell have no dominion over Him. Even Satan and his demons are under the authority of the Almighty God.
The spell-casting “parties” and rituals that Wiccans around the globe are participating in have zero influence on the daily affairs on Earth.
Whether or not President Trump ever gets impeached or his administration fails to succeed in any new legislation, witchcraft had nothing to do with it. God is at the helm, and He is the only one that determines whether or not certain things come to pass.
With that said, evil spirits are real—Satan and his demons do exist. However, we are not to consult the dead for direction. We are not to dabble in conjuring spirits as a leisure activity. We must rest in the power and protection of God, for it is the only place in which we are safe from the schemes of the evil one.
