“The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery;” – Galatians 5:19
Sexual immorality has plagued the human race since the beginning. High-level officials’ involvement in sexual scandals and assaults is nothing new, unfortunately. It occurred long before the social media explosion, although it didn’t gain much attention due to lack of information. As Christians, we should safeguard ourselves against all sexual misconduct whether or not it becomes national news. Do not give in to the flesh.
The Bible is filled with numerous verses against sexual immorality – and for good reason. It is one of the strongest temptations mankind faces and one that is very hard to resist.
Sexual temptation is one of the strongest weapons the devil has against us. Sexual immorality is one of the easiest sins to commit. The devil plays the “sex card” against mankind because it’s one of the simplest ways to win and cause mankind to sin.
“The one who does what is sinful is of the devil because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.” – 1 John 3:8
Jesus said that not only is the act of sexual immorality a sin – but also the very thought of it.
“But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” – Matthew 5:28
“For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, and slander.” – Matthew 15:19
Scripture tells us that sexual immorality is different from other sins. We sin not only against God but also against ourselves.
“Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.” – 1 Corinthians 6:18
Christine Pelosi, the daughter of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and a Democratic National Committee official, issued a warning over the weekend after reports revealed that politically-connected billionaire and financier Jeffrey Epstein, 66, was arrested on charges of being involved in the sex-trafficking of minors.
He is being charged with one count of sex trafficking conspiracy and one count of sex trafficking. Accusations include Epstein paying underage girls for massages and sexually abusing them at both his New York and Florida residences.
Christine Pelosi tweeted: “This Epstein case is horrific and the young women deserve justice. It is quite likely that some of our faves are implicated but we must follow the facts and let the chips fall where they may – whether on Republicans or Democrats.”
According to court documents, in 2016, former President Bill Clinton took at least 26 flights aboard Epstein’s private jet, which allegedly goes by the sexually-themed nickname of the “Lolita Express.” Epstein also owns a 72-acre private estate in the Virgin Islands which is allegedly referred to by the nickname: “Orgy Island.”
