Iran Threatens Israel if United States Attacks

Iran Threatens Israel if United States Attacks
  • Iran threatens to destroy Israel in a brief 30 minutes if the United States were to take military action against them.
  • The Bible has prophesized that Israel will be the focal point of contention and it can be clearly seen today. An attack on Israel is imminent.
  • After discovering that their uranium supply has breached the limit, Iran may be preparing for war in order to “eradicate Israel from the world’s political map.”
  • According to Ezekiel 38, God will not allow this to happen. Israel will not be destroyed.

In its latest threats against the United States and Israel, among tensions over Tehran’s nuclear ambitions, Iran is threatening to destroy Israel within 30 minutes should the United States take military action against the nation known to be a state-sponsor of terrorism.

“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.” – Zechariah 12:2

The Bible tells us that God is going to make Israel, and Jerusalem in particular, a point of contention for all the surrounding nations. And in fact, that has been exactly the case for decades.

And it’s not getting any better nor is contempt for Israel restricted to its immediate neighbors. The whole world criticizes Israel, and in fact, the nation has repeatedly received numerous condemnations by the United Nations.

Israel Will be Attacked in the Future

If we believe the words and prophecies of the Bible, then God has already revealed that one day in the future a number of other nations will all attack Israel.

“On that day, when all the nations of the earth gather against her, I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who would heave it away will be severely injured.” – Zechariah 12: 2

At the same time, God promises there will be a heavy price to pay for those nations who decide to attack Israel.

Iran Threatens Israel’s Destruction

Iran has a history of threatening to destroy Israel. In 2005, newly elected Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and a New York Times article was attributed as saying “Israel should be wiped off the map.”

In January 2019, according to the Tasnim news agency, Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps Deputy Commander said to reporters, “Our goal is to eradicate Israel from the world’s political map.”

The Latest Threat

In the most recent threat against the Jewish nation and the United States, Mojtaba Zolnour, who is chairman of the Iranian parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, said on Monday that “If the U.S. attacks us, only half an hour will remain of Israel’s lifespan.”

Iran Breaches Enriched Uranium Limit – Preparing for War?

This statement from this top Iranian politician comes on the same day that reports by the International Atomic Energy Agency measured Iran’s uranium stockpile and found that the country had breached its limit that was set under a 2015 international nuclear deal. The measurement was taken on June 27.

Enriched uranium is the key ingredient to producing nuclear weapons. There is no other conclusion to make other than Iran is preparing for war.

The recent incidents involving the attacking of oil tankers and the downing of an American drone also demonstrate Iran’s readiness and willingness to engage in both terrorist and military attacks.

What Bible Prophecy Says About Iran Attacking Israel

Modern-day Iran, now called the Islamic Republic of Iran, was previously called Persia until 1935 and is referred to in the Bible as such.

In Ezekiel 38 the prophet foresaw that Iran and others will ally and invade Israel, writing: “Persia, Cush, and Put are with them, all of them with shield and helmet;” (Ezekiel 38:5). Ezekiel chapter 38 goes on to describe how Israel will be restored with its people, which happened in 1948, and that all these hordes of invaders will come on the land “like a storm.”

But of these invaders, God promises he will not let them destroy Israel. Instead, God says through the prophet:

“So I will show my greatness and my holiness and make myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then they will know that I am the LORD.” – Ezekiel 38:33
